Wedding Hair at Tlaquepaque Chapel wedding hair, on location
An intimate chapel and sycamore shaded courtyard in the heart of Sedona. Polished, timeless looks for close up ceremonies.
The Chapel at Tlaquepaque is one of Sedona’s most intimate places to say I do. Carved wood doors, a bell tower, stained glass, and a courtyard shaded by giant sycamores. It feels centuries old and it photographs like a dream.
Tlaquepaque ceremonies are close and personal. The chapel seats a few dozen guests, so every detail is seen up close, including your hair. I create polished, timeless looks for chapel weddings and I come to wherever you are getting ready in Sedona.
Getting ready for Tlaquepaque
Where we set up
Tlaquepaque is a ceremony and reception venue rather than a hotel, so most brides get ready at a nearby resort, inn, or vacation rental and arrive at the chapel photo ready. I come to you there. L’Auberge and the Uptown hotels are only minutes away.
Bridal party logistics
Chapel weddings tend to be smaller, which makes for a relaxed morning. I work through the bridal party in order, with the bride last so your look is freshest for the ceremony and courtyard portraits.
Arrival and access
Tlaquepaque sits on Highway 179 just south of the Y, and parking fills up quickly on weekends. Plan to leave your getting ready location with a cushion of time. I finish you early enough to make that easy.
Ready by time
Share your ceremony time and whether you are doing photos before or after. I build the styling schedule backward from the moment you need to walk out the door.

Styles that suit the chapel
The Chapel and the Patio de la Capilla are intimate, shaded spaces with warm, filtered light. Classic looks shine here. Low chignons, smooth twisted updos, and elegant half up styles complement the Spanish colonial architecture and look beautiful under a veil or with a simple floral piece.
Because guests are so close, I focus on refined finishing: clean part lines, no stray pieces, and a soft, touchable texture that reads as effortless in photos. If your reception moves out to the courtyards, I make sure the style transitions well from the chapel to dinner and dancing.
Pricing for Tlaquepaque weddings
Getting ready locations within Sedona proper include on location service with no travel fee. Services beginning before 7:00 AM carry an early morning fee of $100.
Common questions from Tlaquepaque brides
Where should I get ready?
Anywhere in Sedona works. Many chapel brides stay at a resort or rental within a few minutes of Tlaquepaque. Tell me where you are staying and I will be there.
We are eloping. Is that too small?
Not at all. Elopements and micro weddings are a big part of what I do. Bride only bookings are welcome.
Will my style last through the courtyard reception?
Yes. Every look is set and finished to last from the ceremony through the last dance. Clean, fully dry hair on the morning of the wedding helps it hold even longer.
Can you work with a veil or floral piece?
Always. Bring your veil, comb, or florals to your preview if you have one, or send photos ahead of time so the style is built around them.
Tell me your date, where you are getting ready, and the look you are dreaming of. I respond within 48 hours.
